We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Weissenfels where 13th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (9-12) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (9-12) 74-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Mitteldeutscher BC. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven was better in third quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mitteldeutscher BC made 7 blocks. Mitteldeutscher BC will face higher ranked EWE Baskets (#4) in Oldenburg in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
