Regular Season Round 18: Vaerlose - SISU 71-85

Dameligaen top team - SISU (17-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Vaerlose (8-10) 85-71. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Vaerlose was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU forced 22 Vaerlose turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vaerlose's players. SISU brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Kiki Lund (177-83, college: Dayton) scored 17 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ida Pretzmann (174-90, college: TCU) chipped in 19 points during the contest. SISU's coach Hrannar Holm allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Alexandra Chili (180, college: Muhlenberg) with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Austrian guard Verena Bachler (175-88) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. SISU have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-0 record. Vaerlose at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. SISU will play against league's second-placed Lemvig at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vaerlose will play against Horsens and hopes to get back on the winning track.
