Eighteenth-ranked Nafta Universitetas (5-26) gave a tough game to sixteenth ranked Silute (10-21) on Friday. Silute managed to secure only one-point victory 89-88. However their fans expected easier game. Nafta Universitetas was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-22 charge of Silute, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Gytis Pakalniskis (205-89) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Silute moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Ezerunas-Karys. Nafta Universitetas lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Silute will meet higher ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nafta Universitetas will play against Perlas-MRU (#11) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
