Regular Season Round 43: Ferro-ZNTU - BC Kyiv 95-89 OT

Fourteenth-ranked BC Kyiv (6-24) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Ferro-ZNTU (19-11) in Zaporozhye. Ferro-ZNTU managed to secure only six-point victory 95-89. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BC Kyiv won third quarter 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where BC Kyiv used huge pressure winning it 23-20 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 8-14. Ferro-ZNTU dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BC Kyiv's 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Forward Cameron Moore (208-90, college: UAB) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) added 25 points and 4 assists in the effort for BC Kyiv. Five Ferro-ZNTU and four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. Ferro-ZNTU moved-up to third place. BC Kyiv lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Ferro-ZNTU's next round opponent will be league's leader Budivelnyk in Kyiv and it will be for sure the game of the week. BC Kyiv will play on the road against Dnipro (#13) in Dnepropetrovsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
