Regular Season Round 31: Meresta - Radviliskis 67-74

An interesting game took place in Pakruojis where higher ranked Meresta (15-16) was upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Radviliskis (12-18) 74-67. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Meresta won second period 20-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Antanas Montrimavicius (199-87) who helped to win the game recording 11 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Vitalis Pancerevas (185-87, college: Weatherford JC) contributed with 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and center Julius Jucikas (205-89) added 16 points in the effort for Meresta. Four Meresta players scored in double figures. Meresta's coach Dainius Bertulis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Radviliskis moved-up to twelfth place. Meresta at the other side keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Radviliskis' next round opponent will be Ezerunas-Karys (#15) in Moletai.
