Rather expected game when 9th ranked Aarhus BC (6-19) lost at home to seventh ranked Horsholm (9-14) 86-81 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Aarhus BC won third quarter 26-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Horsholm won last quarter 23-20. The winners were led by Serbian center Bojan Marinkovic (209-84) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alexander Bak (193-91) supported him with 14 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Horsholm's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 32 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Charles Funches (203-88, college: Hampton) did not help to save the game for Aarhus BC. His fellow American import swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-87, college: Iona) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Horsholm maintains seventh position with 9-14 record. Loser Aarhus BC keeps the ninth place with 19 games lost. Horsholm will meet at home league's second-placed Bakken in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aarhus BC will play against Randers (#6) and hope to secure a win.
