ProB top team - Dragons Rhoendorf (17-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Hanau (8-11) 85-72. The game without a history. Dragons Rhoendorf led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Dragons Rhoendorf outrebounded Hanau 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for American center Alejo Rodriguez (203-88, college: Iona) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Geddes Robinson (195-87, college: Utah Valley, agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Dragons Rhoendorf's coach Boris Kaminski used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Marco Voeller (198-89) answered with 21 points and American Lionel Sullivan (201-87, college: Northwood) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hanau. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group South with 17-2 record. Loser Hanau keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face ifm Baskets Konstanz (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hanau will play against Bayer Giants in Leverkusen.
