ProA top team - SC Rasta Vechta (17-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Finke Baskets (9-13) 104-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Finke Baskets. The game without a history. SC Rasta Vechta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Finke Baskets' 32. SC Rasta Vechta forced 20 Finke Baskets turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian forward Jacob Doerksen (200-87) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St.) supported him with 11 points and 5 assists. Five SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. SC Rasta Vechta's coach Patrick Elzie felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points by American forward Ryan Aquino (203-89, college: Georgia Coll.) did not help to save the game for Finke Baskets. Forward Michael Jost (204-88) added 11 points for lost side. Newly promoted SC Rasta Vechta maintains first position with 17-5 record. Finke Baskets at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Crailsheim. SC Rasta Vechta will play against Cuxhaven BasCats (#5) on the road in the next round. Finke Baskets will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
