No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Telekom Baskets (12-10) defeated on the road 16th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (8-15) 75-68 on Saturday. EnBW Ludwigsburg was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Robert Vaden (196-85, college: UAB) who scored 20 points. His fellow American import center Chris Ensminger (209-73, college: Valparaiso, agency: Limelight Hoops) chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward John Turek (206-83, college: Nebraska) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (189-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Telekom Baskets. They maintain seventh place with 12-10 record. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Telekom Baskets will face higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against the league's leader Brose Bask. (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
