No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bayer Giants (11-8) crushed on the road 10th ranked Dresden (6-13) 108-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bayer Giants. Dresden was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Bayer Giants had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Dresden was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. It was a very good performance for point guard Adonte Parker (183-89, college: Dayton) who helped to win the game recording 48 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Jack Eggleston (203-88, college: Pennsylvania, agency: Pro One Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Bayer Giants players scored in double figures. Center Jared Benson (208-89, college: N.Michigan) answered with 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jason Boucher (180-80, college: Grand Valley St.) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dresden. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayer Giants moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with 3 other teams. Dresden lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Bayer Giants will face Hanau (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Dresden will play against Noerdlingen.
