Top ranked Fenerbahce (17-2) recorded its second loss in Mersin on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fifth ranked Tarsus Bld (13-6) 87-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fenerbahce. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Fenerbahce won second period 26-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tarsus Bld made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Danielle Marie Robinson (178-89, college: Oklahoma) fired 18 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five Tarsus Bld and four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Tarsus Bld maintains fifth place with 13-6 record. Defending champion Fenerbahce still keeps top position with two games lost. Tarsus Bld are looking forward to face TED Ankara (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fenerbahce will play against Ceyhan Bld (#8) in Adana and is hoping to win this game.
