No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Heli Girls (10-7) beat 8th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (7-10) in Noerdlingen 71-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 20-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Amanda Rego (170-86, college: San Diego) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and Cuban forward Yadira Francis (186-85) accounted for 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International swingman Tina Menz (174-88) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Martha White (187-89, college: NC-Wilmington) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for BC Pharmaserv Marburg in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Heli Girls moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. BC Pharmaserv Marburg at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Oberhausen. Heli Girls will meet Herner TC (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against Don Bosco Bamberg and hope to secure a win.
