No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Suduva-Mantinga (22-11) beat 11th ranked Perlas-MRU (14-19) in Vilnius 79-71 on Friday. Perlas-MRU was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 25-9 charge of Suduva-Mantinga, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) nailed 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Zilvinas Kuklierius (180-85) accounted for 25 points and 6 rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga's coach Gintautas Zibuda used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Mantas Virbalas (203-88) came up with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Keyron Sheard (188-86, college: Chattanooga) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Perlas-MRU in the defeat. Four Perlas-MRU players scored in double figures. Suduva-Mantinga maintains fourth place with 22-11 record, which they share with Triobet. Perlas-MRU at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will meet at home Meresta (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Perlas-MRU will play against Radviliskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
