Important game to mention about took place in Hagen. Seventeenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (8-16) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (11-12) 81-78 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-15. But Phoenix Hagen won second period 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Deutsche Bank Skyliners won last quarter 19-17. It was a good game for American guard Dawan Robinson (189-82, college: Rhode Island) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Danilo Barthel (207-91) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) replied with 16 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and his fellow American import forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Phoenix Hagen. Four Deutsche Bank Skyliners and five Phoenix Hagen players scored in double figures. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Neckar L'burg. Loser Phoenix Hagen dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will face higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
