No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (9-11) beat 12th ranked RSV Eintracht (6-14) in Stahnsdorf 86-78 on Saturday. RSV Eintracht was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 12-20s. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel forced 24 RSV Eintracht turnovers. RSV Eintracht was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Travis Clark (195, college: Lake Forest) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Center Frank Theis (200-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Blair Wheadon (191-90, college: W.Oregon) replied with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Michael Haucke (210-85) added 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocks in the effort for RSV Eintracht. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. RSV Eintracht's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel moved-up to sixth place in Group North, which they share with SU Medien and BSW Sixers. Loser RSV Eintracht keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will face Dorsten (#10) at home in the next round. RSV Eintracht will play against BSV Wulfen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
