A very interesting game took place in Leca. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Angrabasket (7-10) to tenth ranked Leca (4-12) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Angrabasket was ahead by 6 points at the halftime before a 23-14 third quarter run of Leca. They also forced 20 Angrabasket turnovers. The best player for the winners was Tiago Lopes who scored 21 points and 4 steals. Miguel Toreia chipped in 14 points. Leca's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lamar Wright (191, college: Kean) who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Alvaro Pontes (190-85) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Angrabasket players scored in double figures. They have a solid three-game winning streak. Leca moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Benfica B and Ginasio. Angrabasket at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Leca's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Maia Basket on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
