Very important is a road loss of second ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (13-7) against fifth ranked Licher Baeren (12-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Weissenhorn Youngstars were crushed by Licher Baeren in Lich 98-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Weissenhorn Youngstars. The game without a history. Licher Baeren led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Jermale Jones (186-86, college: Tuskegee) who scored that evening 23 points and guard Viktor Klassen (186-81) supported him with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Licher Baeren players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds by British forward Myles Hesson (195-90, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Weissenhorn Youngstars. Forward Brian Butler (194-91) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Licher Baeren have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group South, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Weissenhorn Youngstars keep the second position with seven games lost. Licher Baeren will meet Dresden (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Weissenhorn Youngstars will play against Fraport Skyliners II (#7) in Frankfurt and hope to secure a win.
