Superleague top team - Budivelnyk (25-7) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Cherkasy (17-17) in Kyiv 90-75. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. Cherkasy was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Budivelnyk players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) notched 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Ainars Bagatskis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by the former international center Maxim Ivshyn (209-86, agency: Beo Basket) did not help to save the game for Cherkasy. Lithuanian guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Budivelnyk have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-7 record. Cherkasy at the other side keeps the seventh place with 17 games lost.
