Regular Season Round 19: Anadolu Efes - Antalya 96-72

Date: February 24, 2013
Fifth ranked Anadolu Efes (15-4) crushed at home 14th ranked Antalya (4-15) by 24 points 96-72, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game without a history. Anadolu Efes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of international Birkan Batuk (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Jordan Farmar (188-86, college: UCLA) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. At the losing side center Eren Beyaz (208-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Rodney Carney (201-84, college: Memphis) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Anadolu Efes and five Antalya players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes maintains fifth place with 15-4 record. Loser Antalya keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Anadolu Efes will face Aliaga (#9) on the road in the next round. Antalya will play against Olin Edirne (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
