Regular Season Round 30: SISU - Svendborg 84-70

Top ranked Svendborg (22-5) recorded its fifth loss in Copenhagen on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked SISU (17-10) 84-70. The game was mostly controlled by SISU. Svendborg managed to win fourth quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Svendborg's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Damon Smith (200-88, college: Mary) who scored 27 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four SISU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was U.S. Virgin Islands power forward Gregory Washington (208-84, college: Hofstra) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SISU have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 17-10 record. Svendborg at the other side still keeps top place with five games lost.
