The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Mersin Univ. (1-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Botas (2-0) 61-56. It was a key game for the top position in Group F as both teams had the same 1-0 record before this meeting. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Mersin Univ. won fourth quarter 13-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Tilbe Senyurek (188-95) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Busra Akgun (183-93) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Four Botas players scored in double figures. Gizem Kumandanoglu (-94) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Ilkay Masa (186-84) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Botas keeps a position of Group F leader, which they share with Orduspor. Mersin Univ. at the other side keeps the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Gure. Botas is looking forward to face Sirince (#6) in Hatay in the next round where they are favorite. Mersin Univ. will play on the road against 55 Genclik in Samsun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
