Bottom-ranked USC Leipzig managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the twelve-game losing streak. This time newly promoted USC Leipzig won against fourteenth-ranked Finke Baskets 91-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Finke Baskets won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when USC Leipzig won last quarter 33-25. They made 26-of-29 charity shots (89.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American guard Adam Sollazzo (198-90, college: E.Tenn.St., agency: Edge Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import swingman Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St.) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. American swingman Jason Adams (194-89, college: Missouri So.) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Michael Jost (204-88) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Finke Baskets. Newly promoted USC Leipzig maintains sixteenth position with 4-20 record. Finke Baskets lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Kirchheim. USC Leipzig will play against higher ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Finke Baskets will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#6) in Allmendingen and hope to get back on the winning track.
