It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Speyer / Schifferstadt. Speyer / Schifferstadt was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 23-14 charge of Bad Aibling, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Speyer / Schifferstadt 52-31 including a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Ciara Iglehart (180-84, college: Ohio) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds. Austrian power forward Julia Schwab (180-82) helped adding 13 points and 11 rebounds. Bad Aibling's coach Milos Kandzic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Canadian forward Kathryn Verboom (179-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and forward Uta Gelbke (177-86) scored 16 points. Four Speyer / Schifferstadt players scored in double figures. Bad Aibling moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Sandhausen. Speyer / Schifferstadt at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Wuerzburg and Keltern. Bad Aibling will play against league's second-placed BasCats Heidelberg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Speyer / Schifferstadt will play against TG 1889 Sandhausen and hopes to get back on the winning track.
