No shocking result in a game when third ranked EWE Baskets (16-7) beat 6th ranked Artland Dragons (13-12) in Oldenburg 84-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. EWE Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American guard Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri, agency: Pro One Sports) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron, agency: LUMANI 10.7) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. American guard Demond Mallet (186-78, college: McNeese St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL, agency: Interperformances) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Artland Dragons. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. EWE Baskets have a solid series of three victories in a row.
