Very expected game when 11th ranked Crailsheim Merlins (10-14) were defeated at home by fourth ranked Cuxhaven BasCats (15-9) 83-71. The game was mostly controlled by Cuxhaven BasCats. Crailsheim Merlins was better in fourth quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cuxhaven BasCats made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American forward Scott Thomas (200-89, college: Bowling Green, agency: I.D.S. Law) who scored that evening 17 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Monyea Pratt (195-85, college: Stillman) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
