No shocking result in a game in Istanbul where fourth ranked Galatasaray (17-3) smashed 8th ranked Erdemir (7-13) 84-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Galatasaray led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Jamont Gordon (193-87, college: Mississippi St.) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. Serbian Milan Macvan (205-89, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) chipped in 16 points. American swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll.) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Serbian center Emre Bayav (212-87) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Erdemir lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Galatasaray will face TED Kolejliler (#7) in Ankara in the next round.
