Everything went according to plan when fifteenth ranked Final Genclik (10-14) outscored on the road bottom-ranked Izmir BSB (2-22) 91-59 on Saturday. Final Genclik dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Izmir BSB's 40. Final Genclik forced 19 Izmir BSB turnovers and outrebounded them 46-25 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Junior Hairston (203-84, college: Towson, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Final Genclik players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Tamer Gurpinar (-92) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Bugra Gacemer (184-83) scored 11 points and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Final Genclik moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Istanbul B.B. and Baskent Genclik. Newly promoted Izmir BSB stay dead last with 22 lost games. Final Genclik will face Pertevniyal (#15) in Istanbul in the next round. Izmir BSB will play on the road against Darussafaka in Istanbul.
