Very predictable result when fourth ranked Mersin (15-6) smashed at home bottom-ranked Edremit (1-20) 99-47. The game without a history. Mersin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Edremit to just 6 points in third quarter. Mersin dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Edremit's 34. They outrebounded Edremit 48-30 including a 42-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mersin players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 3 passes made by Edremit's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Shavonte Zellous (178-86, college: Pittsburgh) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists for the winning side and forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) accounted for 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field).
