Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Oberhausen and 8th ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg had identical 7-11 record. This time Oberhausen used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Marburg 72-62 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Oberhausen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great evening for American center Chanita Jordan (196-87, college: Bowie St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Fijian guard Valerie Nainima (165-86, college: S.Carolina) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American guard Amanda Davidson (170-83, college: Indianapolis) responded with 17 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Samantha Baranowski (190-90, college: Maine) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oberhausen (8-11) moved-up to eighth place. BC Pharmaserv Marburg lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. Oberhausen will meet Herner TC (#10) on the road in the next round. BC Pharmaserv Marburg will play against the league's second-placed SV Halle Lions having rather not much hope for a victory.
