No shocking result in a game when second ranked SV Halle Lions (12-7) smashed at home 7th ranked Rhein Main Baskets (9-10) 92-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. SV Halle Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Canadian forward Tamara Tatham (185-85, college: Massachusetts) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Daphanie Kennedy (175-86, college: Pepperdine) helped adding 20 points and 8 rebounds. Four SV Halle Lions players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Denise Beliveau (180-89, college: New Hampshire) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Alyssa Karel (170-89, college: Wisconsin) scored 12 points. SV Halle Lions maintains second place with 12-7 record having five points less than leader Wasserburg, which they share with Wolfenbuettel. Loser Rhein Main Baskets keep the seventh position with ten games lost. SV Halle Lions will meet BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rhein Main Baskets will play against Eisvogel Freiburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
