Regular Season Round 25: Final Genclik - Pertevniyal 76-75

A very interesting game took place in Bursa. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 15th ranked Pertevniyal (9-16) to thirteenth ranked Final Genclik (11-14) 76-75 on Wednesday evening. Pertevniyal was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 26-17 charge of Final Genclik, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Pertevniyal helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Erdem Ilter (-90) accounted for 13 points. Final Genclik's coach Ali Ozbay used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Anthony Brown (203-86, college: Oklahoma St., agency: KMG Sports Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized FYR Macedonian Cedi Osman (195-95) added 22 points respectively for Pertevniyal in the defeat. Final Genclik moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Istanbul B.B. Pertevniyal at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Final Genclik's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Yesilgiresun in Giresun and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pertevniyal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Darussafaka.
