The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Jaunieji Talentai's (1-24) road loss to seventh ranked Utena (5-20) 82-95 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Utena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Jaunieji Talentai's 42. Utena looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Jaunieji Talentai's players. Point guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) stepped up and scored 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners and the former international guard Egle Zygelyte (166-84) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists. Utena's coach Rolandas Penikas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Justina Kraujunaite (174-95) responded with 31 points and 5 rebounds and Laura Juskaite (187-97) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Jaunieji Talentai players scored in double figures. Utena maintains seventh place with 5-20 record. Jaunieji Talentai lost their twentiethth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 24 lost games. Utena will meet at home league's leader Kibirkstis-Tiche in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jaunieji Talentai will play against Ruta Siauliai (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
