No shocking result in a game in Kyiv where third ranked Tim-Scuf (18-8) defeated bottom-ranked Frankivsk-Hal. (1-22) 70-53 on Wednesday. Tim-Scuf dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Frankivsk-Hal.'s 16. They outrebounded Frankivsk-Hal. 57-27 including a 29-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Center Miriam Uro-Nilie (190-94) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Krystyna Matsko (182-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Tim-Scuf's coach Inna Kochubei used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Olga Chernenko (175-86) produced 25 points and guard Katerina Polyanychka (178-90) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Tim-Scuf. Defending champion maintains third place with 18-8 record having just two points less than leader Dynamo. Frankivsk-Hal. lost their fourth game in a row. They stay dead last with 22 lost games.
