Leader Usak delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Gelisim (12-13) 68-61 in Izmir. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Gelisim was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Usak's coach Ozan Bulkaz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Michael Porrini (187-89, college: Kent St.) answered with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Melih Kapucu (204-90) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gelisim. Four Gelisim players scored in double figures. Usak maintains first place with 18-7 record, which they share with Yesilgiresun. Gelisim lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Usak will play against Istanbul B.B. (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gelisim will play against Istanbulspor and hopes to get back on the winning track.
