NBL top team - Neftochimic (18-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Rilski Sportist (1-18) in Burgas 82-43. The game without a history. Neftochimic led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Neftochimic forced 23 Rilski Sportist turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Estonian forward Viive Kai Rebane (182-89, college: Binghamton) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Maria Zhelyazkova (181-86, agency: Promotex) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Neftochimic players scored in double figures. American power forward Anne Farrell (187-88, college: Centenary, LA, agency: Global Sports Plaza) responded with 4 points and 11 rebounds and forward Emi Ushaguelova (181-89) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neftochimic maintains first place with 18-1 record. Rilski Sportist lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 18 lost games. Neftochimic will play against league's second-placed Dunav 8806 in Ruse in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski Sportist will play at home against Levski (#3) in Sofia to get more than just one victory in their record.
