Liga Nationala top team - CSM Targoviste (22-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Timisoara (12-11) 93-55. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Timisoara's 28. CSM Targoviste forced 31 Timisoara turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Timisoara's players. The former international forward Claudia Pop (182-89) notched 26 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American power forward Ashley Walker (187-87, college: California) supported her with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by Serbian forward Sonja Maric (185-85) did not help to save the game for Timisoara. Power forward Adina Stoiedin (186-91) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSM Targoviste have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-1 record. Timisoara at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost. CSM Targoviste will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Timisoara will play at home against Satu Mare (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
