Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Samsun (3-20) lost to fifth ranked Tarsus Bld (16-7) in Mersin 72-82 on Saturday. Tarsus Bld looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Samsun's players. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American forward Melisa Can (188-84, college: Rutgers) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Tugba Talaslioglu (175-86) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. The former international forward Meric Yenal (188-88) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Doga Comba (185-94) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Samsun in the defeat.
