An interesting game for Altay Konak (3-0) which hosted in Izmir second-best Bursa BSB (2-1). Leader Altay Konak managed to get a 11-point victory 67-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bursa BSB. It was a key game for the top position in Group E. The game was mostly controlled by Altay Konak. Bursa BSB managed to win third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American forward LaToya Thomas (188-81, college: Mississippi St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Deniz Boz (172-82) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. American center Whitney Jones (183-87, college: Arkansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and Gamze Turkoglu (-83) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Bursa BSB in the defeat. Bursa BSB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Altay Konak have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group E with 3-0 record, which they share with Edirne. Loser Bursa BSB dropped to the third position with one game lost. Altay Konak will meet Burhaniye Bld (#5) in the next round. Bursa BSB will play against the league's second-placed Edirne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
