The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Brose Bask. (21-4) on the court of eleventh ranked Phoenix Hagen on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Phoenix Hagen 104-97. American guard Mark Dorris (188-85, college: Marshall, agency: Court Side) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized Slovakian point guard Anton Gavel (188-84, agency: Pro One Sports) responded with 28 points and 4 assists and American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Phoenix Hagen and four Brose Bask. players scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen (12-13) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with TBB Trier and s.Oliver Baskets. Defending champion Brose Bask. still keeps top position with four games lost. Phoenix Hagen is looking forward to face higher ranked Telekom Baskets (#7) in Bonn in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brose Bask. will play at home against Artland Dragons (#6) in Quakenbrueck and is hoping to win this game.
