Regular Season Round 20: Heli Girls - Osnabruck 63-66

Round 20 most important game was a victory of Osnabruck over one of their biggest challengers Heli Girls 66-63 on Sunday night. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Heli Girls won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Osnabruck won last quarter 18-17. American forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy, agency: Gamble Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Osnabruck players scored in double figures. Cuban forward Yadira Francis (186-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Dorothea Richter (176-83) added 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Heli Girls. Osnabruck (12-8) moved-up to third place, which they share with Wolfenbuettel. Heli Girls at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Osnabruck is looking forward to face league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Heli Girls will play against Don Bosco Bamberg (#10) and are hoping to win this game.
