Regular Season Round 27: Kibirkstis-Tiche - Aistes-LSU 77-54

LMKL top team - Kibirkstis-Tiche (23-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aistes-LSU (13-14) in Vilnius 77-54. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Aistes-LSU. The game without a history. Kibirkstis-Tiche led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kibirkstis-Tiche forced 24 Aistes-LSU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Aistes-LSU's players. It was a great evening for international center Kristina Alminaite (205-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Vitalija Vasciunaite (175-88, college: Cal.Baptist) helped adding 17 points. Four Kibirkstis-Tiche players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Jolanta Marmiene (181-79) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Kibirkstis-Tiche maintains first place with 23-4 record. Aistes-LSU at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Kibirkstis-Tiche are looking forward to face Suduva (#4) in Marijampole in the next round. Aistes-LSU's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Kaunas Sirenos.
