Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Tofas and 11th ranked Gaziantep had identical 8-13 record. But Gaziantep was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Bursa 78-69 on Saturday night. Gaziantep was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-13 charge of Tofas, which allowed them to win the game. Tofas outrebounded Gaziantep 41-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Nigerian power forward Chinemelu Elonu (206-87, college: Texas A&M) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American Austin Nichols (200-82, college: Humboldt St.) chipped in 17 points. Tofas' coach Ahmet Caki allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) produced 21 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Dylan Page (204-82, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) added 22 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Tofas (9-13) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Erdemir. Newly promoted Gaziantep dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Aliaga. Tofas will meet at home league's leader Banvit BK in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Gaziantep will play against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce Ulker (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
