BV Chemnitz 99 (14-13) survived in overtime against BG Goettingen (19-8) by four points 75-71 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 20-16 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 12-8. BG Goettingen was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Japanese point guard Takumi Ishizaki (188-84) who scored 18 points and 7 assists. American center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) chipped in 9 points and 16 rebounds.
