The game between sixth ranked BC-93 Pulsar (12-16) and 10th ranked Ternopil-TNEU (1-25) in Rovno on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. BC-93 Pulsar outscored guests from Ternopil 87-65. BC-93 Pulsar made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 31 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers and outrebounded them 45-31 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for power forward Evgeni Vornik (207-86, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Center Roman Novikov (203-92) accounted for 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. Four BC-93 Pulsar players scored in double figures. Guard Anton Nifonton (190-89) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds and center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) added 16 points respectively for Ternopil-TNEU in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC-93 Pulsar maintains sixth place with 12-16 record. Ternopil-TNEU lost their fourth game in a row. They stay dead last with 25 lost games. BC-93 Pulsar will meet at home higher ranked Tornado (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ternopil-TNEU will play against the league's leader Musson (#1) in Symferopil.
