An interesting game for Lukoil Academik (18-2) which hosted in Sofia 3rd ranked Rilski Sportist (14-6). First ranked Lukoil Academik managed to get a 14-point victory 90-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rilski Sportist. The game was mostly controlled by Lukoil Academik. Rilski Sportist managed to win fourth quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lukoil Academik dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 38. Lukoil Academik looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Rilski Sportist's players. Greek power forward Dimitris Haritopoulos (205-83, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Brandon Heath (193-84, college: San Diego St.) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Lukoil Academik players scored in double figures. Lukoil Academik's coach Sasho Vezenkov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lukoil Academik have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-2 record.
