Regular Season Round 27: Kirchheim - Ehingen 73-79

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (15-12) defeated on the road 15th ranked Kirchheim Knights (10-17) 79-73 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kirchheim Knights won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Andre Calvin (196-85, college: Drake) who scored 22 points. Kenneth Ogbe (197-94) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import forward Marcus Smallwood (198-82, college: N.Illinois, agency: Court Side) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ehingen/Urspringschule maintains sixth place with 15-12 record. Kirchheim Knights at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Ehingen/Urspringschule will face Science City Jena (#8) at home in the next round. Kirchheim Knights will play against Duesseldorf Baskets (#3).
