Regular Season Round 52: Hoverla - Mykolaiv 74-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Mykolaiv's (15-21) road loss to eighth ranked Hoverla (20-17) 68-74 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 28-21. But Mykolaiv won second period 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: George Mason) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) who added 16 points during the contest. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American center Krys Faber (208, college: De Paul) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international center Danylo Kozlov (206-82) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds. Hoverla maintains eighth position with 20-17 record. Mykolaiv lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 21 games lost. Hoverla will have a break next round. Mykolaiv will play at home against BC Kyiv (#14).
