The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Budivelnyk (27-9) in Dnepropetrovsk on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by twelfth ranked Dnipro (13-22) 81-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Budivelnyk. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Derrick Low (188-86, college: Washington St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Konstantyn Glazyrin (202-88) who added 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Dnipro's coach Valdemaras Chomicius used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri, agency: Edge Sports) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Georgian point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86) scored 3 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Dnipro moved-up to eleventh place. Budivelnyk at the other side still keeps top position with nine games lost. Dnipro are looking forward to face higher ranked Azovmash (#3) in Mariupol in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Budivelnyk will play on the road against Khimik in Yuzhny and is hoping to win this game.
