Rather predictable result when tenth ranked CSU Sibiu (14-14) rolled over 14th ranked Farul Const. (6-22) in Constanca 89-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by CSU Sibiu. Farul Const. was better in fourth quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. CSU Sibiu had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American center Christopher Lee (206-84, college: S.Carolina St., agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import forward Devon Austin (198-87, college: Manhattan) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Center Marian Minea (203-85) replied with 12 points and Serbian forward Nenad Markovic (199-80) added 11 points in the effort for Farul Const.Five CSU Sibiu and four Farul Const. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSU Sibiu moved-up to ninth place. Newly promoted Farul Const. keeps the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. CSU Sibiu will face league's second-placed Targu Mures at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Farul Const. will play against Miercurea Ciuc (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
