The game in Neuss was also quite interesting. 5th ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (13-9) played at the court of sixth ranked TG Neuss (12-10). TG Neuss did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 85-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-67. TG Neuss made 28-of-35 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. TG Neuss outrebounded ASC Theresianum Mainz 39-27 including a 19-5 advantage in defensive rebounds. ASC Theresianum Mainz was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American point guard Shacondra James (172, college: Cent.Florida) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her nine free throws !!!). Power forward Julia Kleen (184-89) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five TG Neuss players scored in double figures. Czech center Gabriela Jandova (190-73) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Shanna Suttington (161) added 18 points in the effort for ASC Theresianum Mainz. TG Neuss maintains sixth position in North with 12-10 record. Loser ASC Theresianum Mainz dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost.
